Alaska Air Group Launches Seattle as New Global Gateway with Nonstop Routes to Tokyo and Seoul

Launching in 2025, Alaska Air is teaming up with Hawaiian Airlines to launch exciting nonstop routes between Seattle and Tokyo Narita (NRT). Plus nonstop flights to Seoul Incheon (ICN).


The Countdown Has Begun

By May 12, 2025, travelers can jet off from Seattle to Tokyo Narita on Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A330-200 aircraft. This new service simplifies routes between the Pacific Northwest and Japan, plus extends travel options to other Asian destinations through oneworld Alliance partner Japan Airlines.

Then later in October 2025, brings a nonstop flights between Seattle and Seoul’s Incheon Airport. Details and ticket availability for this route will be announced early next year.

Alaska Air Group’s Commitment to Connectivity

Seattle remains Alaska Air Group’s largest hub on the West Coast, now boasting service to 104 nonstop destinations across North America. By 2030, the company plans to extend its reach even further with flights to at least 12 global destinations, offering unparalleled options through its long-haul widebody aircraft fleet.

CEO Ben Minicucci shared his enthusiasm for the new routes, stating, “We believe our guests will be as excited as we are about these new nonstop flights to Tokyo and Seoul – two of the world’s most dynamic cities. From our global gateway in Seattle, we can conveniently connect travelers from across our network as they head to Asia and beyond. Hawaiian’s spacious widebody aircraft, along with its excellent onboard service and amenities, will make for a terrific trip from one side of the Pacific Rim to the other.”

Enhanced Domestic Travel for Spring

The collaboration between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines doesn’t stop there. This spring, both airlines will unveil an enhanced domestic network, featuring improved schedules and increased connectivity between the Hawaiian Islands and hubs along the West Coast of the United States.

Additionally, Alaska Air Group plans to right-size its capacity between Honolulu and Japan’s capital city by reallocating aircraft to open up more flight options to Tokyo Haneda Airport. These strategic shifts are set to boost convenience and performance while offering more choice for travelers.
